The Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) eyes energy transition and electric vehicle supply chain in Indonesia
wo years since its inception, Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) has invested in various projects from toll roads to energy transition.
Deputy CEO Arief Budiman spoke to The Jakarta Post's Fadhil Haidar Sulaeman and Vincent Fabian Thomas about investment opportunities this year as well as the country’s drive toward electric vehicles (EVs).
Question: How do you see investment opportunities this year?
Answer: We see opportunities in almost all sectors, but the INA has "lenses" for its priorities, which are global investors' appetite, means to support sustainable development and value-creation potential.
Through those lenses, we’ve identified four priority sectors: infrastructure, digital industry, healthcare services and energy transition, including EVs.
Besides these priorities, we also see opportunities in consumer goods, property, financial services and agriculture.
