Attraction: The 220-meter work of art was created to draw visitors to the museum. (JP/Arief Suhardiman)The museum was named after an Indonesian painter who was killed in 1993 in the building, which was his home and studio. It exhibits his paintings and personal collection.
The 220-meter of art were recently completed in three days by 16 members of Peruja, an association of Jakartan artists, as a token of respect for the late naturalist artist, whose admirers included Sukarno – the nation’s first president – and other contemporaries.
