For the past 12 years, the government has supported National Online Shopping Day (HARBOLNAS), initiated by the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA), which is celebrated every Dec. 12. This initiative has proven to drive the growth of Indonesia's digital economy year after year.
The government continues to strengthen various efforts to boost national exports, including through the establishment of the National Export Enhancement Task Force on Sept. 20, 2023. Amid the current global economic conditions, Indonesia's export performance has shown good results, with the country’s export value in May 2024 reaching US$22.33 billion, an increase of 13.82 percent month-to-month (mtm) or 2.86 percent year-on-year (yoy).
During his working visit to Russia from June 10 to 12, in addition to being presented with an international cooperation award from the Russian government, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto held a series of special meetings on Tuesday with Dmitry Medvedev, a former president and former prime minister of Russia, as well as First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov.

During the event themed "Future of Asia," Minister Airlangga detailed Indonesia's efforts in maintaining economic resilience amid global uncertainties and highlighted various investment opportunities in Indonesia.
Minister of Coordinating Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto engaged in bilateral discussions with both ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa during the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting in Paris, France. The talks encompassed crucial topics such as Indonesia's OECD accession process, exploration of the ASEAN-GCC Free Trade Agreement (FTA), and advancements in the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA).
Representing the Indonesian government, Coordinating Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto received the road map for Indonesia's Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) membership accession, at the opening of the OECD Ministerial Level Meeting in Paris on Thursday.
