Indonesian representatives in the United States are preparing to provide consular assistance and suggesting that Indonesian students to stay calm amid US President Donald Trump’s policy to block Harvard University’s right to enroll international students.
President Donald Trump is furious at Harvard, which has produced 162 Nobel prize winners, for rejecting Washington's oversight on admissions and hiring amid his claims the school is a hotbed of anti-Semitism and "woke" liberal ideology.
Such endowments, very common in US higher education, are funded largely by private donations. Most of these are subject to restrictions on what the money can be used for, such as specific projects or areas of study.
New company Colossal, capitalizing on a partnership with a Harvard geneticist, said its species "de-extinction" effort has the potential to anchor a working model for restoring damaged or lost ecosystems and thereby help slow or even halt the effects of climate change.
Called the Galileo Project, it envisages the creation of a global network of medium-sized telescopes, cameras and computers to investigate unidentified flying objects, and has so far been funded with $1.75 million from private donors.
