View all search resultsSony Honda Mobility. will produce its cars at a Honda plant in North America and start taking orders mainly online from the first half of 2025, with delivery in Japan expected to follow in the latter half of 2026, it said.
In Malaysia, where lockdown has been in place since June 1, plants belonging to Toyota Motor and Honda Motor remain closed. That is largely because of regulations that limit factory workers reporting to work to 10 percent or less.
"By setting a high goal and sharing the attitude to pursue it (within the company), we aim to challenge for its realization," Honda's new president Toshihiro Mibe said as he unveiled the plan during a press conference.
It is the world's first vehicle sold in the market which allows the driver to engage in different tasks such as reading and watching TV behind the wheel in certain conditions such as when the car is in congested traffic on expressways, the Japanese transport ministry said.
