View all search resultsThe Indonesian Navy has intercepted another 20 undocumented Indonesian migrant workers as they returned from Malaysia through illegal routes. Previously, the Navy had caught 22 undocumented Indonesian migrant workers fleeing Malaysia.
“We urge our migrant workers to stay indoors when they get a weekly day off to minimize the risk of contagion. We also urge them to not take their Idul Fitri leaves just yet,” Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore I Gede Ngurah Swajaya said on Monday.
As many as 119 migrant Indonesian migrant workers from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), most of them without proper documents, died abroad throughout 2019, the Indonesian Migrant Workers Placement, Protection and Monitoring Agency (BP3TKI) in Kupang has revealed.
A community center in Malang, East Java, is offering fun activities along with programs that aim to build their character, guidance they don't often receive at home because they are separated from their migrant worker parents.
