Team Flash of Vietnam has won the 2020 President Esports Cup, securing the Rp 300 million (US$22,000) cash prize. The Vietnamese esports players beat host team Dranix Vendetta, which finished second. Third place went to Louvre Esports Indonesia. All finalists played the game Free Fire.
Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali has said the government will put athletes’ safety first and therefore not sending athletes to sporting events like the upcoming ASEAN Paragames in the Philippines could be an option if the coronavirus outbreak gets out of control.
Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali has said that, although the members of the Indonesian contingent are ready to improve their overall performances at the upcoming 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in the Philippines, the medal target was lowered due to the possibility of on-field margins of errors. He did not explain what the margins of error were.
