To welcome or deny former IS fighters, avoiding old mistakes
As a nation that bears a dark, unresolved chapter in our history through the purge of alleged communists in the aftermath of the failed Sept. 30, 1965 coup, blamed on the now-defunct Indonesian Communist Party (PKI), we should not repeat the same mistake of making the arbitrary decisions to execute people, like alleged or suspected communists, without due process of law.

Ma'ruf Amin could just punch the clock, phone in and still be a great VP
If people continue to expect Ma'ruf to play a greater role in the Jokowi administration after only being Jokowi's handmaid during the political campaigning, it is simply because his predecessor, Jusuf Kalla, set a high bar for the vice presidential position.
