Prominent Muhammadiyah figure Abdul Malik Fadjar dies at 81
Abdul Malik Fadjar served as religious affairs minister during the presidency of the late Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie from 1998 until 1999. He was also the education and culture minister during the presidency of Megawati Soekarnoputri from 2001 until 2004.

KPK to auction Suryadharma’s Kaaba cover
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will auction off a kiswah, or a piece of cloth that covers the Kaaba, Islam’s holiest shrine in Saudi Arabia’s Mecca, initially owned by former religious affairs minister Suryadharma Ali, who is now serving a prison sentence for embezzling the country’s haj funds.
