View all search resultsMalaysia's aviation regulator has temporarily suspended pilots employed by domestic airlines who hold Pakistani licenses, after the government of the South Asian nation revealed that many pilots had dubious qualifications.
The decision was made after customers of savings and loan cooperative KSP Indosurya Cipta sought help from lawmakers to address the organization’s failure to return a total of Rp 10 trillion (US$707.51 million) to 8,000 customers.
Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the cooperation, which was signed in Jakarta on Monday, the two agencies agreed to help each other in realizing the government’s projects, including those carried out by the country’s state-owned companies.
The omnibus bill on job creation currently being deliberated at the House of Representatives (DPR) proposes some changes to requirements and licensing procedures that will make it easier for investors to enter the aviation business.
The firm was found to have concealed an exchange bond issuance agreement between the firm and PT Nexis Inti Persada in 2016. It also failed to record the receipt of funds from the issuance as liability in the report.
