View all search resultsPT Transjakarta bus operator and state-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura II (AP II) will provide passengers with free takjil (light snacks) to break the fast during Ramadhan, which starts on Thursday.
The ongoing revamp works have not deterred vendors from Bendungan Hilir (Benhil) market area to set up stalls selling light iftar snacks, popularly known as takjil. The street food vendors annually set up these stalls during the holy month of Ramadhan to contribute to the religious, festive atmosphere by selling takjil, while also earning extra income for their family. The Jakarta Post paid a visit to the festivities.
Officials found dangerous substances in takjil (light snacks for breaking the fast) sold by vendors on Jl. Panjang, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. Among the dangerous substances found were textile coloring agent rhodamine B and borax.
