View all search resultsThe Indonesian government has decided to revise its plan to examine financial data on the back of major outcry from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME). The government, through the Tax Office, only requires those with bank accounts with a minimum balance of Rp 1 billion (US$75,148.50) to be subjected to the scheme, higher than the initial plan of Rp 200 million.
To achieve this year’s tax revenue target, the Jakarta Taxation and Retribution Agency (BPRD) is laying out four programs: optimizing revenue through fiscal cadastre, enforcing the law against tax evaders, encouraging integration of business licensing in the form of fiscal linkages and optimizing information-based services.
Responding to a claim made during a court hearing on Monday that Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan had played a role in a corruption case, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said on Tuesday that it had taken note of the allegation.
Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) took about three years and questioned almost 300 witnesses to build a case on the suspected Rp 2.3 trillion (US$170 million) corruption within the Rp 5.9 trillion electronic identification card (e-ID) project.
