hose who want to experience a new way of traveling to Solo in Central Java can consider hopping on the country's first intercity and interprovince double-decker bus in Java.
Officially launched on Sunday by PT Putera Mulya Sejahtera (Pumas), the bus travels a round trip route from Wonogiri to Jakarta via Solo. Made in Sweden, the double-decker bus can accommodate a total of 44 passengers divided into First Class Executive and Elegant Class sections.

According to kompas.com, First Class Executive passengers will be seated on the bus' second level, which can accommodate 38 passengers. It is equipped with a toilet, air conditioners, a buffet meal service, smoking room, leg rests, water dispensers and snacks. At a starting price of Rp 225,000 (US$16), each passenger can also expect to enjoy an LCD-screen entertainment device quite similar to the inflight service provided on an airplane.
Meanwhile, Elegant Class passengers will sit on the bus' first level, which features six passenger seats facilitated with air conditioners, LCD screens, adjustable electric seats, leg rests, a toilet, a coffee maker, a buffet meal service and snacks. The price for this category starts at Rp 325,000. (wir/kes)
