Attendees included regency tourism department stakeholders, tourism practitioners, members of the media and representatives from Customs and Excise, the local immigration office and the Timor Leste embassy.

“Cross-border tourism programs require the involvement of many parties for it to be successful, such as the immigration [office], hotels, security agencies and the village council. That’s why we gathered all of them in one place so that we can discuss the best way to increase the influx of foreign tourists to the area,” said Belu tourism department head Johanes Andes Prihatin.
