Set fixed destination and schedule
Decide on a fixed destination and desired departure time to reduce queuing time and confusion. It is also advised to choose a preferred train beforehand.
It is important to note that refunds or exchanges are not possible with tickets bought at the fair. Discounted prices apply only for executive train travel from Aug. 7 to Oct. 31.
Avoid peak season
Avoid choosing departure dates during peak seasons. KAI commercial director Bambang Eko Martono stated that many seats had been booked for the holiday, resulting in a smaller number of available discounted seats at the fair. Choosing other dates is likely to increase your chance of obtaining tickets.

Visit on first day
As there is no quota allocation for the first and second day of the event, there is a chance that tickets to popular destinations will be sold out on the first day. It is advised that people attend the event on first day to get tickets.
Utilize mobile application
Besides physically lining up, visitors can also utilize Traveloka’s mobile application to get discounted tickets. Traveloka PR manager Busyra Oryza told The Jakarta Post that in order to do so, visitors needed to connect to the Wi-Fi at the venue first. “They will automatically get the promotion price on Traveloka’s application with the booking subclass X,” he said. Busyra stated that the Wi-Fi password could be obtained upon entry to the venue.
Meanwhile, those who want to physically line up should keep in mind that a maximum of four tickets are available per purchase. Those who want to more than four tickets will need to line up more than once. (mas/asw)
