These tourists are part of Bintan Best Tours Luxury Group, a tour package offered by Singaporean travel agents for Chinese church-goers in Singapore.
The group departed from Tanah Merah in Singapore and is staying at Bintan Lagoon Resort. The entire rooms of this resort are reserved for the group and some members are also staying in a villa.

A room at the resort is priced at Rp 2.7 million (US$202) per night while the villa is priced at Rp 6.1 million.
“We are grateful for the support from the Tourism Ministry. This is a blessing for Bintan; the accommodation in that area is quite expensive yet it’s still sold out,” said Bintan Tourism Agency head Luki Zaiman Prawira.
Rooms at the Bintan Lagoon Resort offer fantastic views of the South China Sea and even Johor Bahru in Malaysia. It also boasts attractive facilities, such as two outdoor swimming pools, a tennis court, two golf courses, spa service and 12 global-standard restaurants. (kes)
