ational flag carrier Garuda Indonesia is set to hold a second Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) of the year on Sept. 22 to 24 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Central Jakarta.
Antara news agency reported that the biannual travel event would be held in 22 cities, namely Ambon, Balikpapan, Bandung, Batam, Denpasar, Jakarta, Jayapura, Kupang, Lampung, Lombok, Makassar, Malang, Manado, Medan, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Semarang, Sorong, Surabaya, Surakarta, Timika and Yogyakarta.
Those looking for bargain airline tickets may want to have a look at the Happy Hour, Best Deal and Regular Discount programs.
During the Happy Hour program, which is slated to run between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., visitors to the fair can get discounts of up to 80 percent. Meanwhile, a 50 percent discount is being offered for both domestic and international flights in the Best Deal program.
Furthermore, the fair’s Regular Discount offers up to 20 percent discount on various flights

Those who have GarudaMiles accounts may enjoy Discount Redemption Garuda Miles of up to 50 percent for several routes by redeeming reward miles. Meanwhile, a new GarudaMiles holder is entitled to extra miles.
Those wanting a bit of luxury during a flight can enjoy up to 30 percent discount on Prepaid Baggage and Advance Seat Request program.
The promotions on offer are not limited to flight tickets as the fair also has special discounts for cargo and onboard sales.
In addition to the aforementioned offers, visitors to the event can also get a special umrah (minor haj) package with 0 percent interest supported by BNI Syariah. (jes/asw)
