Nusa Penida to host Nusa Penida IV Festival

Nusa Penida has plenty of tourist sites such as Broken Beach a.k.a Pasih Uug Beach, Atuh Beach, Seganing Waterfall, Gunung Cening Temple and Telak Manta.

Nusa Penida in Bali is set to hold Nusa Penida IV Festival on Dec. 6-9.

“This is a festival of art and culture and sport. For four days we are going to invite international tourists to explore the beauty of Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan,” said Klungkung tourism department head I Nengah Sukasta.

Located in Jungutbatu Village, the festival will put emphasis on the local food. Moreover, a total of 1000 dancers are going to perform Baris Jengkang danc

“We want to show the local wisdom, art and culture of Nusa Penida. There will be a Balinese traditional costume competition held for overseas tourists,” Nengah added.

Nengah said that the festival will also campaign for coral reef protection and feature water activities such as sailing, snorkeling and surfing among others.

“We will present plenty of water activities such as international surfing competition, sampan competition, snorkeling and diving. We will also do beach cleanup and coral reef cultivation,” he said.

Nusa Penida has plenty of tourist sites such as Broken Beach a.k.a Pasih Uug Beach, Atuh Beach, Seganing Waterfall, Gunung Cening Temple and Telak Manta.

Of all the places, perhaps the most popular one is Angel’s Billabong, a natural three-colored swimming pool where visitors can swim in it. (asw)
