atam will be hosting yet another sporting event next year. The Ruggedian Asia Obstacle Fun Race is slated to run on April 27 – 29, 2018.
The Asian Sports Group Singapore will oversee the event in collaboration with Nongsa Resorts Batam. Additionally, the event is set to become the first large-scale sports tourism event that promotes Batam’s tourism lifestyle.
“Healthy lifestyle is currently on trend, it’s a necessity and [being] healthy is cool. What’s even cooler is healthy lifestyle combined with tourism like this event,” said Riau Islands tourism department head, Buralimar.
Everyone is a winner in this competition and it’s open to old and young people, female and male runners.
Nongsa, where the event will be held, is located in the northeast of Batam and is a famous location in Batam. It has a total area of 2,300 hectares that offers beautiful sunset view, white sand beach, mangrove forest and stunning coral reefs. (asw)
