View all search resultsp to 14 flights have been cancelled by Garuda Indonesia this afternoon following the increased activity of Mount Merapi, which started on Friday morning.
Previously, the national flag carrier announced the cancellation of eight flights to and from Yogyakarta.

According to the national flag carrier's latest statement, the new cancelled flights are GA210 and GA211 (Jakarta – Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta – Jakarta); GA212 and GA213 (Jakarta – Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta – Jakarta); and GA7308 and GA7309 (Surabaya – Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta – Surabaya).
Low-cost carrier AirAsia has also announced the cancellation of 11 flights to and from Yogyakarta due to the eruption. Meanwhile, one of its aircraft, AK 346, heading to Yogyakarta from Kuala Lumpur, reportedly had to return to its departure airport. (kes)
