The latest illustrated edition of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, is slated to be released on Oct. 4.
Award-winning artist Jim Kay, who illustrated the first edition launched last October, will also create the artwork for this second book.
A detailed portrait of Rubeus Hagrid is also included in the second illustrated book.
According to a report by Buzzfeed, Rowling said that Kay's illustration of the first book had moved her profoundly. "I love his interpretation of Harry Potter’s world, and I feel honored and grateful that he has lent his talent to it.”
Readers were of the same opinion, many praising the artist for successfully capturing the detail of Potter's magical universe. It is fortunate then that the rest of the Potter series will also be drawn by Kay.
In the second edition, Mr. Weasley's iconic flying Ford Anglia will adorn the cover as it flies toward the family's house, the Burrow.
