An ice-carving competition is set to grace this year's Korea Festival at Lotte Shopping Avenue in South Jakarta from April 8 to 10.
The event will see three participants compete to sculpt the most sublime ice carving within the space of an hour. Guests will also for the first time be treated to a K-pop cover dance.
"Indonesia has no winter, so the competition will surely be a rare event, We hope it will be an attractive and unique show for Indonesians," Korea Tourism Organization Jakarta director OH Hyonjae said in a press release on Monday.
He added that this year's festival would feature not only cultural shows, but also free performances from renowned artists, including a show of drawing from The Painters: Hero and a dance show from Sachoom.
U. Je from Sachoom will also reportedly appear, giving K-pop dance lessons in a two-day course. (kes)
