With a schedule that includes attending the Belt and Road Forum and talks with other senior Chinese officials, the President heads to Beijing on Monday for his third meeting with Xi this year.
resident Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is scheduled to depart Jakarta on Monday afternoon to Beijing, where he is expected to meet with President Xi Jinping, his third this year.
Jokowi is also expected to attend the Belt and Road Forum in the Chinese capital, where Xi is preparing a major celebration to mark the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative.
"Today, myself and the delegation will embark on a working visit to Beijing and Riyadh," President Jokowi said in a statement.
The Saudi Arabia capital is the next stop on his itinerary.
During his China visit, the President is also scheduled to hold talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang as well as Zhao Leji, the chair of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
"I will discuss a number of key priority issues with China, including ways to increase our exports, investment and food sovereignty," said Jokowi, as quoted by Antara.
During his second visit in July, President Jokowi flew to Chengdu to meet with Xi and discuss trade and investment, in an effort to try and woo more Chinese businesses to Indonesia.
