T

witter has introduced a new mobile application that is designed for celebrities and public figures to help them interact more easily with their fans and communities.

Dubbed "Engage", the app basically has three main features, a section that will notify you whenever verified users follow or mention you; an analytics section for statistics such as likes, retweets, mentions and impressions; and a tab that will show more detailed statistics for individual tweets, engadget.com reported.

Since it’s supposed to work side-by-side with the regular Twitter app, Engage does not come with a timeline.

Don't have any followers yet? No worries as Engage will be available for all users, not only those with verified accounts. However, for now, access is limited to those using iOS devices. (jam/kes)
