Since her broadcast debut on SBS’ year-end music program “Gayo Daejeon” in 2007, she has garnered a global following, gaining the attention of American talent manager Scooter Braun who represents global pop idols such as Justin Bieber. Additionally, the 25-year-old received international recognition after her performance at last year’s Mad Decent Block Party, a North American music festival presented by American DJ Diplo’s record label Mad Decent.

In March, CL-- along with iconic K-pop boy band Big Bang -- was named by TIME magazine readers as a potential figure for the world’s most influential 100 people.
