espite debuting just last year, K-pop boy band Seventeen managed to have Balai Sarbini Hall in Central Jakarta filled with fans and have almost no empty seats during their two-hour concert on Saturday.
“Apa kabar Indonesia? It’s very hot in here,” said leader and rapper S.Coups at the beginning of the show dubbed Seventeen's “Shining Diamonds” 1st Asia Pacific Tour .
After greeting their fans personally, the 13-member group consisting S.Coups, Hoshi, Woozi, DK, Jun, The8, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Jeonghan, Joshua, Dino, Seungkwan and Vernon, performed 13 songs from their latest album titled Love & Letter Repackage, as well as songs from their previous records. Included in the performance list were new songs Shining Diamond, Chuck, Still Lonely, Adore U, Mansae and recent hit Very Nice.

During the show, Seventeen managed to deliver a perfect live and synchronized team dance, which is quite refreshing to see from a rookie K-pop act. They also entertained the audience by doing a Q&A and games session.
At the end of concert, Seventeen expressed their gratitude to Indonesian Carats, the nickname for their fans, and promised that they would return soon. “I had a very fun time thanks to you guys. I feel like I've gained huge strength from you. Ketemu lagi ya [let’s meet again],” said DK.
“I'll never forget our visit to Jakarta and we promise to return,” added Seungkwan.

Before leaving the stage, the thirteen boys shouted, “Hati-hati di jalan, ya [be careful on your way home],” and once again received cheers from the audience.
Managed under Pledis Entertainment, Seventeen quickly gained recognition from their ability to produce their own songs and choreography aside from performing on stage as idols. They were crowned as one of 2015’s rookies of the year by a prestigious local music award and have been regarded as one of the most talented newcomers in the K-pop scene ever since. (kes)
