member of K-pop boy band Super Junior, Kyuhyun, will take time off from his music activities because of vocal cord nodules, according to his agency SM Entertainment.

“Kyuhyun needs treatment to cure his vocal cords,” said the agency as quoted by Antara news agency on Tuesday. “He will take a break for two to three weeks to focus on his treatment following his doctor’s instructions.”

The 28-year-old singer who is also a member of Super Junior K.R.Y. must temporarily withdraw from entertainment program “Radio Star” that is broadcasted on MBC. Recently released a second mini album dubbed Fall, Once Again, Kyuhyun will also be unable to be performed at the musical Mozart in Gwangju and Gimhae in South Gyeongsang province, on Aug. 27 as well as Sept. 3 to 4.

“This decision was made for him to be able to perform in the future,” added the agency. (kes)
