acebook Messenger has introduced a new feature for its Messenger service on Thursday. Dubbed Instant Video, it allows users to “bring their conversations to life in the most authentic way.”
Video conversations seems to be a normal thing now, and Instant Video allows people to share quick moments with friends who are not there with them. Tapping on the video icon in the top right corner begins video sharing, and although audio is turned off by default, it could be easily turned on when one chooses it to be.

The video will float over the active text conversation, which still allows for texting while viewing the video. Friends can watch the video stream and share a video back if they want to.
Facebook announced in July that it had recorded over 1 billion users for the Messenger app every month. According to the company's official statistics, its monthly active users amounted to 1.71 billion, and 1.57 billion for mobile monthly active users, as of June 30. Approximately 84.5 percent of its daily active users are outside the US and Canada. (kha/kes)
