he cast and directors of Headshot appeared at the Indonesia Comic Con 2016 at the Jakarta Convention Center in Central Jakarta on Sunday.
During a movie panel session, guests were given a preview of the Indonesian action thriller.
Directed by Timo Tjahjanto and Kimo Stamboel, known as The Mo Brothers, the movie follows Ishmael (Iko Uwais), who has amnesia, and a young doctor, Ailin (Chelsea Islan). Haunted by his past, Ishmael's life changes when he encounters a gang of criminals led by Lee (Sunny Pang).

Slated to hit cinemas in December, the movie has gained recognition, such as an invitation to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival 2016 and a nomination at the Grand Nouveau Genre Award in L'Entrange Festival 2016 in Paris, France.
"We were surprised to see the positive feedback as we had never directed an action movie before. This ensures us that our movies can be enjoyed by global viewers," said Stamboel. "The international audience is receptive of foreign movies and we want Indonesian movies to be recognized worldwide too." (kes)
