he German cultural center Goethe Institute is hosting a film festival in Bali until Saturday in collaboration with Bentara Budaya Bali and Sehati Productions.
Centered on the Galeria XXI cinema on Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai, the German Film Festival opens with a public screening of Coconut Hero (2015), directed by Florian Cossen, which follows the life of a teenager diagnosed with cancer who is abandoned in Canada and wishes that his dream of dying will come true.
"Hopefully the event can showcase the best aspects of the German film industry," said Anna Maria Strauss, the cultural program head at the Goethe Institute in Indonesia as quoted by Antara news agency on Wednesday.
