W

hile it is common to hear the names of famous cities in songs, hearing Jakarta mentioned in a song is not very common, especially if it is a K-pop song.

But now, fans can hear the name of the city in a newly released song by K-pop boy group Seventeen.

S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon of the 13-member Seventeen released a song titled “Check In” on Tuesday, the first song to break their six-month hiatus.

On the track, which is meant to be a mixtape by the four guys representing Seventeen’s hip-hop unit, fans can hear the boys rapping about their experiences traveling to different cities, including Melbourne, New York, Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok and Jakarta. Listeners can hear the name of Jakarta just before the two minute mark on the song.
