oy band BTS’ Rap Monster and Suga thanked fans for their ranking on the Billboard charts in an interview with OSEN published Thursday.
BTS ranked No. 26 -- a record-high for a K-pop group -- in the last week of October and No. 106 the following week with their newest release “Wings.”
“‘BTS reached the highest rank among Korean acts, in one of the two major Billboard charts,’ this I can still hardly realize,” said Rap Monster. “I would like to express my appreciation for our fan club A.R.M.Y, who listened to our songs and responded with such hospitality.”

“As a musician, I have long envisaged Billboard,” said Suga. “I don‘t think BTS should take all the credit for this. Were it not for fans’ love, it would have been impossible.”
“Wings” stopped short of making the list in the second week of November on the Billboard 200.
The Billboard moment marks the third consecutive for the seven-part boy band, following “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life pt. 2” ranking No. 171 in November 2015 and “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever” ranking No. 107 in May.
