he world is no longer foreign to Apple’s skyrocketing retail prices, which start at approximately US$649 for iPhone products alone.
Yet, the Swiss company Golden Dreams designed a particularly eccentric iPhone 7 that is said to be retailed starting at $17,000.
The so-called Carbon Concept Edition iPhone is reportedly equipped with neither diamond nor gold-based shell casings. Instead, it comes with a carbon fiber protective shell, which was declared “the strongest and lightest smartphone ever made”.

When compared side-by-side, the Carbon Concept withstood up to 80 kilonewtons of belligerent pressure before showing signs of breakage, while the original iPhone could only withstand about 40 kilonewtons of hulking weight. It is not only strong and almost unbreakable, but it is also resistant to scratches from any hostile material, as reported by kompas.com.
Golden Dreams announced they would only sell 77 units of the Carbon Concept Edition devices, which also come with VIP privileges and a two-year warranty. (fmn/kes)
