-commerce company JD.id has introduced a new online payment system that allows customers to pay in installments using services provided by consumer goods financial company KreditPlus.
The service targets users who do not have credit cards or are reluctant to put their credit card data on the website. According to a press release, consumers will receive their product right away and will start paying installments the next month. Purchases will not require a down payment and interest rates start at 2.99 percent.

Since the collaboration started in July, up to 600 users have reportedly shopped on JD.id using KreditPlus. To attract more customers, the financial firm is offering a one-month free installment for a 12-month tenor and an additional Rp 200,000 shopping voucher for a minimum purchase of Rp 500,000, which users can use throughout December when shopping for their next item.
Among the many items available via the e-commerce platform, mobile phones are said to be the most popular product among customers of the service. (fmn/kes)
