he year 2017 is just around the corner and One TV Asia, a paid TV cable channel owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, has just announced its Korean show lineup for the upcoming year.
Below are the shows that will be aired in Indonesia, including old shows, new Korean dramas and variety shows.
Korean dramas
Innocent Defendant
Ji-sung, Korean actor known for his acting as a person with multiple personality disorder in Kill Me, Heal Me (2015) is set to portray Park Jung-woo in a new drama Innocent Defendant. His character is a prosecutor who ended up in prison without remembering anything that he did. Girls’ Generation member Kwon Yuri will star alongside him in the drama slated to premiere on Jan. 18.

I’m Sorry, but I Love You
Lovers of classic, entangled love-themed Korean dramas are going to be entertained with I’m Sorry, but I Love You, also known as I’m Sorry Kang Nam Goo. The 2016 drama tells the story of friends from an orphanage who marry each other but end up divorcing because the husband abandons his wife to marry the daughter of a powerful politician. The drama stars Lee In, Kim Min-seo, Na Ya and Park Sun-ho and is slated to premiere on Jan. 15.
Ghost
The 2012 drama tells the story of Kim Woo-hyun (played by So Ji-sub), a high ranking police officer who is investigating the mystery behind actress Shin Hyo-jung (Esom)’s death alongside detective Yoo Gang Mi (Lee Yeon-hee). It is slated to premiere on Jan. 19.
Remember
Yoo Seung-ho's first drama since he returned from the military in 2016, Remember, centers around his character Jin-woo’s struggle to prove the innocence of his wrongly accused father. However, one day, his struggle becomes even harder as he suffers from Alzheimer's. This is slated to premiere on Jan. 3.

The Women’s Room
The Women’s Room, which originally aired in South Korea in 2013, follows five-star hotel successor Kyung Chae (Park Eun-hye), whose life turns upside down after Hee Soo (Wang Bit-na) steals everything she owns. This is slated to premiere on Jan. 13.
Korean variety shows
Law of the Jungle in Sulawesi
Four ‘flower boys’, Jin of BTS, Sung Yeol of Infinite, Gong Myung and Kim Min-seok, try surviving in the wild, which this time happens to be in the Sulawesi jungle. This show is slated to premiere on Jan. 3.
Fashion King Korea
Celebrities and designers from South Korea are battling it out in fashion challenges in order to avoid being eliminated from the 2013 TV show Fashion King Korea. The show, starring SNSD’s Tiffany Hwang, Yoon Bora and Brian Joo, is slated to premiere on Jan. 2.

Real Guys BTOB
The 2012 reality show of K-pop group BTOB encases the activities of the seven member act in exploring the weekly topic of becoming ‘cool’ and ‘real’ guys. This show is slated to premiere on Jan. 16.
2016 SBS Entertainment, Drama Awards
The 2016 SBS Entertainment Awards and 2016 SBS Drama Awards will air on Jan. 1 and Jan. 7, respectively. The shows are part of the SBS Awards Festival and are set to give awards to the entertainment and drama shows regarded as the best in 2016.
Busan One Asia Opening Concert
In the show that is set to air on Jan. 26, viewers will get to see K-pop acts, such as Girls’ Generation, B.A.P., APINK, B1A4 and BTS, perform in the opening concert of Busan One Asia Festival. The show originally aired in Korea in October. (kes)
