utella fans, pack your bags and don’t forget the extra spoons, because a Nutella cafe is opening up in Chicago just in time for summer.
The menu will feature items such as warm, grilled baguettes with the spread and fresh-roasted, hazelnut-and-blueberry granola with yogurt and Nutella.
Not in the mood for something sweet? The restaurant will also have "a number of dishes available without the famous hazelnut spread,” says the company.
"We wanted to create a world of Nutella for our fans that could truly capture the essence of the brand — not just in the dishes that will be served, but in the full experience from the moment you step into the space," said head of marketing for Nutella North America, Noah Szporn, in a statement.

Chicago is no stranger to establishments dedicated to the hazelnut spread. There’s a Nutella counter located within Eataly, the popular food hall. But the Nutella Cafe Chicago will be the first official restaurant to be operated by Ferrero, Nutella’s parent company.
The restaurant, located across from Chicago's Millennium Park, will open on May 31 at 10 a.m. According to the company, chef Rocco DiSpirito will be present for opening day, and the first 400 visitors will receive a free menu item and a "chance for other special surprises.” (sul/kes)
