ame of Thrones fans better get their fur coats on as HBO is serious about winter being "here." The cable TV network has unveiled the newest character posters for the highly anticipated seventh season of the award-winning series.

In true Game of Thrones fashion, cryptic messages are being delivered via posters and fans are quick to decipher the mysteries. One of the mysteries is Theon Greyjoy getting a poster and a noticeable absence of posters of Yarra and Euron Greyjoy posters, although the two came into focus as part of Daenerys Targaryen’s naval troop last season.

Another theory sparking conversations online is the hint of a Whitewalker victory pictured in the bluish color of the posters, although some argued it could easily be representing winter. However, meticulous fans zoomed into the reflections in the characters’ eyes and saw what may be a Whitewalker figure.

All theories aside, excitement is running high as the series is nearing its premiere on July 17.  Game of Thrones fans on Twitter are able to unlock the character posters when they tweet @GameofThrones using the #WinterIsHere hashtag together with an emoji specific to each character.

Game of Thrones was originally written as fantasy novel series entitled A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. It tells a story about an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom.
