Vans to reopen stores in Indonesia

Vans will be opening its stores again in Indonesia, the footwear company recently announced on its Vans Indonesia Instagram account.

ans will be opening its stores again in Indonesia, the foot apparel company recently announced on its Vans Indonesia Instagram account.

"Indonesia! We are so grateful for your patience and amazing support. VANS will be available again in Indonesia through our official store soon," it wrote on a Friday post. 

For fans of the sneaker brand who cannot wait for the reopening of its official store, Vans products are available through partner stores as well as online.

As reported by kompas.com, Jenna Kosasih, the fashion category director of Lazada Indonesia, one of Vans' e-commence partners, confirmed that the official distributor of the brand had changed.

The former Indonesian distributor of Vans, PT. Gagan Indonesia, had filed for bankruptcy in early June at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court after failing to negotiate with its creditors under the debt postponement petition (PKPU).

All Vans Indonesia stores had been closed since May 2017. (liz/kes)
