Bale is set to play the role of Cheney in a biopic centered around the controversial figure.
Directed by Adam McKay, renowned actors Steve Carell and Amy Adams are also said to be involved.
Bale has been recognized as an actor willing to radically transform his physical appearance for certain roles.
Over the years, the actor has undergone various physical changes. He once became extremely, almost dangerously thin for his role as Trevor Reznik in The Machinist (2004). (wir/jes)
