hree members of the popular K-pop girl band, Girls’ Generation, are reportedly leaving their management company, SM Entertainment.
Band members Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun have apparently decided to not renew their contracts with the agency.
However, according to soompi.com, the other Girls’ Generation members – Taeyeon, YonnA, Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sunny – will stay on with the agency. But the news has sparked questions among fans on whether the group will continue or disband.
“Girls’ Generation is a group that is precious and meaningful to SM and their fans,” read the agency's official statement. “The members also have no thoughts at all about disbanding. Simply, as there are members whose contracts have ended, a careful decision will be made after discussions with the members about Girls’ Generation’s direction for activities in the future.”
