s 2017 draws to a close, it’s time to look back at the year that was — in particular, the Netflix originals that were most popular.
In a recent survey released by Netflix Life, 60,000 people from 32 countries revealed which Netflix original series they watched for at least two hours per day. The findings revealed that the following shows were most binge-watched this year:

To everyone’s surprise, high-profile shows that took the netizens by storm — including Stranger Things, House of Cards and Orange is the New Black — didn’t make the cut.
Not many would have expected American Vandal, with its quiet and unceremonious release last September, to top the list of most binge-watched shows. When it did cryptically make its way onto Netflix’s ‘Newly Added’ list, though, it became an instant hit, with viewers loving Jimmy Tatro’s hilarious performance as Dylan.
3%, Ingobernable, Anne with an E and Travelers have been enjoyed globally despite being relatively unpopular in the United States.
13 Reasons Why was a roaring success, generating more word-of-mouth excitement on the Internet since its premiere than any other show. Katherine Langford was also recently nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as Hannah Baker in the series.
