fter introducing the four warriors in the highly anticipated Wiro Sableng movie, production company Lifelike Pictures has revealed the warriors set to play the villains.

The villains are Mahesa Birawa, Kalingundil and the Bandits, said to belong to the Black Order.

Played by Yayan Ruhian, Mahesa Birawa is a former student of Sinto Gendeng, who betrayed his mentor. His most powerful trait is the "green centipede blow", making him the most feared enemy from the Black Order. His primary weapons are a thorny chained mace and a two-headed steel stick.

Yayan rose to fame with roles in action movies The Raid and its sequel, as well as Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Aside from playing Mahesa Birawa, Yayan is also the action choreographer in the Wiro Sableng movie.

Kalingundil, played by Dian Sidik, is the head of thug underlings of Mahesa Birawa. Dian is known from the Jaka Tingkir television series.   

Along with the revealing of the Black Order warriors, characters Wiro Sableng and Bujang Gila Tapak Sakti will present themselves for the first time on television.

During a segment in the Indonesian 2018 Indonesian Box Office Movie Awards this Friday evening, they will perform action scenes against a group of bandits from Mahesa Birawa’s group.

The Wiro Sableng movie is produced by Lifelike Pictures and 20th Century Fox. Sheila Timothy serves as producer, with Angga Dwimas Sasongko as producer. The script was written by Seno Gumira Ajidarma, Tumpal Tampubolon and Sheila Timothy. The film is slated to premiere in September. (wng)
