n collaboration with the National Library of Indonesia, the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) and the National Book Committee, Gramedia will hold the 2018 Gramedia Writers and Readers Forum.
Intended to be a place of meeting, discussion and sharing among writers and readers, the event will be held on April 7 and 8 in the National Library of Indonesia building at Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta.
Online tickets were sold out one week after the forum was officially announced, with more than 3,000 people ready to attend the event.
The majority of attendees said they expected the forum to be inspiring, as they would have the opportunity to meet with Indonesian best-seller authors. Attendees can also consult with editors on Editor Clinic.

Renowned writers such as Eka Kurniawan, Sapardi Djoko Damono, Leila S. Chudori, Joko Pinurbo, Maman Suherman, among others, are set to attend the forum.
Attendees are also welcome to visit discussions, covering themes such as Intellectual Property Development, Creative Illustration for Children's Books and Writing for Millennial Readers.
This will be the first edition of the forum and will be held alongside Gramedia Exhibitions, which sells products at special prices, and Experience Zone, which is organized by Kaskus, Bobo and Bank DKI.
