he sarcastic, foul-mouthed antihero Deadpool returns with the sequel, Deadpool 2. This time, instead of fighting alone in his tight red suit, he teams up with other mutants on his mission to save a kid and the future.

In the movie, Deadpool or Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) faces perhaps the most tragic moment in his life. Wanting to die, he is saved by the steel-like mutant Colossus (voiced by Stefan Kapicic) and brought to the X-mansion where he reunites with Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). Wilson is then included as an X-Men trainee and his first task is handling vengeful teenage mutant Russell (Julian Dennison) who labels himself as Firefist.

Long story short, Wilson has to fight an enemy from the future, Cable (Josh Brolin), who somehow wants Russell dead. Realizing that he cannot fight alone, he starts to recruit mutants to join his X-Force group of superheroes. Because it is Deadpool 2, the recruits do not fulfill their expectations, but one, Domino (Zazie Beetz), is deemed interesting for citing luck as her superpower.

Although it does not have the same excitement as the first film, Deadpool 2 contains humor and surprises, but some of it is funnier if you have watched the first film or know about other characters from Marvel's different universes, such as X-Men, The Avengers, Green Lantern and Justice League. Green Lantern was mentioned prior to the film's release in a video where Deadpool apologizes to David Beckham.

Wilson also extends his sarcasm in many scenes, one of them saying that Deadpool 2 is a family movie. This may remind you of protests in 2016 by parents who brought their kids along to watch the first movie and complained that the film had violent as well as vulgar scenes.

Despite the differences, Deadpool 2 still contains gory fighting scenes, hence it is only suitable for adults. Directed by David Leitch, the audience may want to stay until the end of the credits. (wng)
