ew York indie band Interpol have teased a mysterious event in the capital city of Mexico, Mexico City, which fans expected to be an event where it will unveil its new album.
On Wednesday, Interpol's Twitter handler shared a photo of a monolithic structure with coordinates “19.411798, -99.18227,” which points to a location in Mexico City. The tweet also delivered a message which reads: "9:30 am CT. Tomorrow. Maybe it’s time. R."

The new album will be Interpol's fifth after El Pintor, which critics said was the band's return to form, released in 2014.
The New York band confirmed early last year that they had started working on a new album. In early May this year, Interpol posted a David Bowie-featuring image on their Instagram account with the caption: "Mastering."
Interpol's debut record, the dark, atmospheric and brooding "Turn On the Bright Lights" won plaudits from critics, deeming it as one of the finest rock recordings of the new century.
