Japanese pop culture event C3 AFA Jakarta 2018 will feature virtual YouTuber Kizuna Ai, musician Eri Sasaki, directors Jumpei & Morita, singer Konomi Suzuki and voice-over artist Yukari Anzai.
apanese pop culture event C3 AFA Jakarta 2018 has officially announced the special guests for its Day Stage and Akiba Stage. Set to be held for three days from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, the event will take place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in South Tangerang.
Kizuna Ai, a virtual YouTuber and ambassador of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), is set to be featured at the Day Stage on Sept. 1. Aside from Ai, there will also be Japanese musician Eri Sasaki, Lost Song anime directors Jumpei & Morita, singer Konomi Suzuki and voice-over artist Yukari Anzai.
Meanwhile, Sora Tokui, a voice-over artist from Japan-based production company Avex Pictures will be one of the guests scheduled to appear at the Day Stage on Sept. 2. Tokyo-born violinist Ayasa, girlband JKT48 and voice-over artist Jun Kasama will be on the same stage that day.

The festival’s Akiba Stage will feature cosplayers, musicians and music groups from Indonesia, Japan and other Asian countries, among them are Hiroaki Kato, Aya Anjani, Mindy, Shojo Complex, Otagroove, Clarissa Punipun, Aza Miyuko, Nanairo Symphony and Baozi & Hana.
C3 AFA Jakarta 2018 will also be the host of the Southeast Asian premiere of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind anime series, prior to its public screening in October. Moreover, the festival will also show the first two episodes of Release The Spyce anime series and a preview of K Seven Stories Episode1 RB ~BLAZE~ animated movie.
Tickets can be purchased online, with prices starting from Rp 170,000 ($11) for several categories and packages. On-site ticket purchase is available with prices starting from Rp 100,000 for one-day ticket and for Exhibition area only. (wir/wng)
