Japanese pop duo Egoist is set to perform at the I LOVE ANISONG Stage of the 2018 C3 Anime Festival Asia (AFA) Jakarta.

The festival itself is slated to be held from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in South Tangerang.

The duo previously entertained their fans in Indonesia in 2014 at the Anime Festival Asia Indonesia (AFAID).

Initially formed as a fictional band to provide theme music for anime Guilty Crown, Egoist consists of composer Ryo (supercell) and vocalist Chelly.

The band is rather mysterious since the fans have never seen Chelly’s face, as Egoist always uses motion capture technology, LED screens and a persona named Inori during their shows.

Egoist has also produced songs for other anime movies, namely Psycho-Pass and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Among the songs are “The Everlasting Guilty Crown” and “Departures Anata ni Okuru Ai no Uta”.

Aside from Egoist, another five Japanese musicians will perform at the I LOVE ANISONG Stage in Indonesia for the first time, namely the talented Ami Wajima, all-girl rock band BAND-MAID, Mashiro Ayano, who is known for having a clear voice, singer-and-voice actress Megumi Nakajima and lyricist TRUE.

Those interested to attend the event can book tickets online.

VIP, early bird and special tickets for Egoist are currently available with a starting price of Rp 500,000 (US$35). (wir/kes)
