Falcon Pictures producer Frederica told tribunnews.com that the move was to show the main characters of the film.
“We also wanted to show the film’s production design, especially the set that has been modified to the Bumi Manusia period from 1890 to the 1920s,” she said.
Directed by Hanung Bramantyo and penned by Salman Aristo, the film is based on a book by Pramoedya “Pram” Ananta Toer and scheduled to be released next year.
Bumi Manusia was the first of four books written by Pram when he was jailed on Buru Island, Maluku. (wir/kes)
