‘Wiro Sableng’, ‘Aruna & Lidahnya’ to be screened at Macau festival

The third installment of International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM) will feature Wiro Sableng: Pendekar Kapak Maut Naga Geni 212 (212 Warrior) and Aruna & Lidahnya (Aruna & Her Palate).

he third installment of International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM) is slated to run from Dec. 8 to 14 at the Macau Cultural Center in Macau, China.

Organized by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Macau Film & Television Productions and Culture Association (MFTPA), the first edition of the festival was held in December 2017, aiming to help Macau build an international reputation as a culturally vibrant city that offered travelers unforgettable experiences.

This time around, the festival will also showcase films from across the globe, including Indonesian movies Wiro Sableng: Pendekar Kapak Maut Naga Geni 212 (212 Warrior) and Aruna & Lidahnya (Aruna & Her Palate).

The former is among films in the Special Presentations category and scheduled to be screened on Dec. 11. Meanwhile, Aruna & Lidahnya is among movies in the Gala screenings. Directed by Edwin, the movie will be screened on Dec. 12.  

In addition to screening international films, variety.com reported that the festival would also host a competition for first or second time feature directors. (jes/mut)
