JAKARTA: Newlyweds Irwansyah and Zaskia Sungkar are putting off having kids for a while so they can focus on their careers instead.
Actor Irwansyah and actress Zaskia Sungkar tied the knot in Jakarta in a simple ceremony on Saturday.
“Actually, it’s up to God,” Irwansyah as quoted by kapanlagi.com over the weekend. However, the star admitted that he and his wife were still involved in numerous projects that would prevent them from spending much time together.
Meanwhile, despite her young age, Zaskia is not afraid of getting pregnant right after the wedding.
“Marriage for me is about worshipping God. Getting pregnant is also God’s decision. So, I surrender to God’s will,” the 20 year old said.
The couple plans to live together in Irwansyah’s parents’ house while waiting for their own house to be built.
Zaskia and Irwansyah will hold a wedding reception in March when Zaskia’s parents return from a trip to Holland. – JP
